Abstract

The present article examines the pivotal role of art, drama and storytelling in enhancing value transmission within current educational frameworks. In an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world, value transmission has gained renewed significance as a keystone of all-inclusive development. Traditional pedagogical methods often fall short in engaging students at a deeper emotional and ethical level. In this context, art, drama and storytelling emerge as transformative tools that enrich value transmission by fostering empathy, critical thinking, cultural sensitivity and moral reasoning. The primary aim of the article is to explore how art, drama and storytelling can be systematically used to instil core human values such as empathy, respect, honesty, cooperation and responsibility. This article draws upon various examples from history and real-world classroom practices to demonstrate how these mediums create immersive experiences that encourage learners to internalize values through participation, imagination and reflection. Each medium is explored in detail. In the section on art, the article discusses how visual arts serve as a medium for emotional expression and ethical analysis. In the drama section, the article highlights how role-play and theatrical simulations help one to examine multiple perspectives and develop moral reasoning. The storytelling section underscores the power of traditional tales, moral dilemmas and diverse cultural contexts that stimulate empathy and critical thought. In conclusion, this article shows that using art, drama and storytelling is a powerful way to make value transmission more effective and meaningful.
