According to an annual poll, intimate partner violence in India refers to the mental, sexual, and physical abuse that can take place between spouses or intimate partners. Intimate partner violence is a significant problem in this environment, particularly for women, with an estimated 1 in 4 women worldwide experiencing some form of violence. This essay aims to investigate the various types of partner violence against women, such as controlling behaviors, emotional manipulation, and physical abuse. This study conducts a thorough review of the literature in order to examine the multifaceted nature of domestic violence, including its causes, prevalence, risk factors, and repercussions. However, a variety of family relationships have been demonstrated during a woman’s violence. It examines the various theoretical stances and intervention strategies employed to address this complex problem and the obstacles to identifying any workable solutions in contemporary Indian households or society. The study also examines the ways in which cultural norms, societal attitudes, and institutional responses either exacerbate or lessen domestic violence. The results of the study contribute to the development of effective preventative and intervention programs aimed at putting an end to domestic violence against women. Not only do women experience domestic abuse, but members of the family are also affected, both physically and psychologically. Women’s roles and positions within the family can be delayed by familial dynamics.Published
