Abstract

The idea of the "Green Economy" is becoming more and more popular globally; India is certainly not an exception. A development plan known as the "green economy" combines ecological sustainability with economic growth. The stated goals of environmentally friendly initiatives have, up until now, mostly not been achieved in developing nations because of factors like the pressing need for fundamental development priorities, a dearth of funding from nations with developed economies for adaptation and mitigation needs, etc. India is dealing with the challenge of balancing piecemeal attempts to prepare the economy to prevent and adapt to the difficulties posed by climate change with the traditional economic growth plan It was discovered that the present manufacturing and consumption system is unable to enable truly sustained and sustainable development in the context of current globalization. Adopting the multifaceted Green concept will have an impact on domestic industries, employment, trade, agriculture, and business practices. As a result, there will be a need for significant fiscal reforms, skill development, political stewardship, awareness of shifting global commerce relations and trade patterns, and indigenous technological advances for resource efficiency.. public knowledge, etc. Encouraging infrastructure and manufacturing decisions with a thoughtful consideration of sustainability can pave the way for India's economy to transition to a green economy. This study provides an overview of the green economy, drawing from existing data and bolstered by comparable case studies from other nations. Although the report acknowledges the significance of developing strategies for implementing the Green Economy principles in line with the stage of financial growth, it also highlights potential problems faced byIndia's green economy will require the correct kind of government involvement (Dutta, 2016).
