INDIAN KNOWLEDGE SYSTEM IN NEP 2020: AN OUTLOOK

Abstract

A major educational reform aimed at revolutionizing the nation's educational system, the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 was developed by the Indian government. NEP 2020 has made integrating IKS into contemporary education a top priority, signifying a desire to rediscover India's rich intellectual and cultural legacy. In order to create an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable educational system, this strategy seeks to preserve traditional knowledge while promoting academic success. From early childhood care to college, it encompasses all educational levels with the aim of promoting holistic development, diversity, and lifelong learning. In order to fulfil India's goals and objectives in the twenty-first century, NEP 2020 replaced the National Education Policy of 1986.
