Abstract

The Indian Knowledge System (IKS) represents a rich and diverse intellectual heritage encompassing philosophy, science, mathematics, medicine, art, and spirituality. Rooted in holistic and experiential approaches, it emphasizes harmony between humanity, nature, and the cosmos. In contrast, the modern world knowledge system is often empirical, analytical, and technology-driven, focusing on specialization and innovation. Integrating IKS with world knowledge creates a synergistic framework, balancing tradition with modernity. Such integration fosters sustainable development, intercultural dialogue, and value-based education, enabling learners to draw from both ancient wisdom and contemporary advancements for solving global challenges.
