Indian Knowledge System (IKS) is an enormous and ancient storehouse of traditional knowledge of India. It encompasses fields such as Ayurveda, mathematics, astronomy, yoga, philosophy, literature, music, architecture, and environmental science. IKS glorifies a style of living that is centered on living in harmony with nature and society. But in this modern era, this precious knowledge is not receiving the significance that it is due. One of the most serious issues is that it is not integrated into school and college education. There isn't much written material, and it doesn't have full scientific authentication. Because of the impact of Western thinking and education, many people regard IKS as obsolete or inferior. The younger generation does not take much interest in it as well, because the language is usually complex, most of the knowledge is orally transmitted, and it is not included in today's curriculum. There is no money for research, and many of the ancient texts are in difficult-to-translate ancient languages. There are people who are also abusing this knowledge solely for money. To resolve all these problems, IKS should be made part of the contemporary education system and ancient texts should be digitized by experts from various arenas. With the assistance of the government, schools, and researchers, we can conserve and modernize this valuable information for future generations.Published
