Abstract

The digital revolution has transformed education, with classrooms evolving into blended learning environments that integrate traditional teaching with technology. In India, the push towards digital education has gained momentum, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, which compelled educational institutions to shift towards online learning. This transition has made it essential for educators to be tech-savvy, not only to utilize digital tools effectively but also to engage students in meaningful ways. However, many teachers, particularly in India, have faced challenges in adapting to this new mode of teaching due to insufficient training and a lack of professional development focused on digital skills. This article delves into the strategies for effective teaching in digital classrooms with a focus on teacher training and professional development, supported by insights from international and Indian contexts.
