Although they all aim to produce methodical, rational, and moral knowledge, the chapter highlights how various disciplines and philosophical foundations impact research techniques. It outlines the primary research paradigms as well as the mixed methodological, quantitative, or qualitative approaches that are used in many sectors. It is stressed how important it is to select methods that support research goals and circumstances rather than merely following disciplinary conventions. The chapter also highlights the growing requirement for methodological adaptation and literacy in order to successfully manage difficult research difficulties and promote multidisciplinary collaboration.Published
