Abstract

Health, well-being, and behavior are intricately linked variables that serve as the foundation for modern psychological and multidisciplinary study. Modern health research increasingly acknowledges that physical health results cannot be properly comprehended without taking into account psychological processes, behavioral patterns, and social circumstances. This chapter discusses the significance of behavioral research in understanding health and well-being, focusing on psychological, biological, and sociocultural perspectives. It investigates major theoretical models that influence modern research and practice, including the bio-psycho-social framework, health behavior theories, and positive psychology methods. The chapter also discusses how lifestyle choices, stress, emotional control, and social interactions affect individual and population health outcomes. Emerging themes, such as digital health interventions, behavioral medicine, and preventative health research, are examined with methodological and ethical concerns. This chapter emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary approaches to promoting health and well-being by combining studies from psychology, public health, and behavioral sciences. The discussion emphasizes the need of evidence-based behavioral therapies and culturally sensitive research in tackling global health issues and enhancing quality of life for a diverse population.
