The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed educational landscapes, particularly in English Language Teaching (ELT). This article explores how AI-powered technologies are redefining ELT classrooms by enhancing personalization, engagement, assessment, and learner autonomy. AI-driven tools such as intelligent tutoring systems, chatbots, automated writing evaluators, and speech recognition applications provide adaptive learning experiences tailored to individual learner needs. These technologies facilitate real-time feedback, data-driven assessment, and differentiated instruction, thereby addressing diverse proficiency levels in ESL/EFL contexts. The study also examines the evolving role of teachers in AI-integrated classrooms, emphasizing the shift from traditional knowledge transmitters to facilitators and learning designers. While AI offers numerous pedagogical advantages, including efficiency and accessibility, the article critically discusses challenges such as ethical concerns, data privacy, overdependence on technology, and issues of academic integrity. Ultimately, the paper argues that AI should complement rather than replace human interaction in ELT, promoting a balanced hybrid pedagogy that integrates technological innovation with human creativity and empathy.Published
