Abstract

Social entrepreneurship has emerged as a transformative force for addressing global societal challenges while simultaneously pursuing financial viability. This study explores the intersection of social entrepreneurship and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), examining how innovative, mission-driven ventures act as catalysts for long-term ecological and social progress. Through an analysis of diverse case studies and empirical research, the paper highlights how these enterprises promote inclusive economic growth, environmental stewardship, and community resilience in sectors such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and heritage-led urban regeneration. Findings indicate that social entrepreneurs leverage hybrid business models to bridge the gap between social needs and economic advancement, though they face significant hurdles including regulatory barriers and limited access to specialized funding. The paper concludes that a supportive ecosystem of policy frameworks and cross-sector collaborations is essential to maximize the potential of social ventures in fostering a more equitable and sustainable future.
