Sustainable development has emerged as a strategic imperative for contemporary business organizations operating in complex global environments characterized by environmental uncertainty, social inequality, and regulatory transformation. Addressing these multidimensional challenges requires integrative approaches that transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries. This conceptual paper examines multidisciplinary research as a strategic enabler of sustainable development and social impact in business. Drawing on sustainability theory, stakeholder theory, shared value perspectives, and interdisciplinary research literature, the study develops a conceptual framework linking multidisciplinary knowledge integration to strategic sustainability implementation, enhanced social impact outcomes, and sustainable competitive advantage. The analysis suggests that multidisciplinary collaboration strengthens organizational resilience, improves innovation capability, enhances stakeholder trust, and embeds sustainability into core governance structures. By positioning multidisciplinary research as a dynamic organizational capability, the paper contributes to sustainability and strategic management scholarship. The study concludes by outlining managerial implications and proposing directions for empirical validation of the conceptual framework.Published
