Abstract

A student-centric approach to education prioritizes the individual learner, recognizing their unique needs, interests, and learning styles. This approach emphasizes personalized learning, where education is tailored to each student's requirements through adaptive technologies that adjust content and pace according to their progress. It also involves giving students the freedom to choose topics of interest, fostering ownership and motivation in their learning. Competency-based education (CBE) complements this by allowing students to progress through curricula at their own pace, ensuring mastery before advancing. CBE promotes lifelong learning by focusing on skill development over time spent in the classroom. Furthermore, flexible learning environments cater to various learning styles, offering diverse assessment methods and innovative physical spaces designed for different learning modes. The holistic development of students is also emphasized, integrating social-emotional learning (SEL) and promoting physical and emotional well-being alongside academic achievement, preparing students for the multifaceted demands of the modern world .
