Abstract

The emergence of financial technology (FinTech) has transformed traditional banking systems, offering innovative tools to bridge longstanding gaps in financial accessibility. This paper explores how FinTech is revolutionizing financial inclusion, particularly among underserved communities that have historically lacked access to formal financial services. From mobile banking and microloans to blockchain-based remittances and AI-powered credit assessments, FinTech solutions are enabling low-income individuals, rural populations, and marginalized groups to participate more fully in economic systems. The study critically analyzes the effectiveness of digital payment platforms, peer-to-peer lending, and neobanks in improving financial literacy, reducing transaction costs, and fostering socio-economic empowerment. Moreover, it addresses the challenges of digital infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, and digital literacy that still hinder equitable FinTech adoption. Through case studies and policy analysis, the paper offers strategic recommendations for stakeholders to ensure that FinTech evolves as a force for inclusive development, not digital exclusion.
