SAFEGUARDING STUDENT’S INTEREST AGAINST CYBERCRIME

Abstract

In today's digital age, the proliferation of internet use among students has brought about unprecedented opportunities for learning and communication. However, it has also exposed them to various cyber threats, making cybercrime protection a critical concern in the educational sector. This abstract explores the importance of cybersecurity for students, the common cyber threats they face and effective strategies to mitigate these risks. As students increasingly rely on digital tools and online resources for their education, the protection of their personal information and online activities becomes paramount. Cybercrime protection is essential to safeguard students' data, ensure their privacy and maintain a safe learning environment. Without robust cybersecurity measures, students are vulnerable to identity theft, cyberbullying and other malicious activities that can have severe psychological and academic repercussions. Thus, this chapter covers essential steps to be undertaken on the part of students to protect them against any cyber-crime.
