Abstract

To compete and thrive in today’s global market, multilingual skills have become a crucial skill. It not only enhances international communication and collaboration but also promotes inclusivity, preserves cultural heritage, and fosters mutual understanding and peace among diverse communities. In this context, AI has emerged as one of the most powerful tools ever developed to overcome language barriers and support multilingual learners. This chapter has provided a concise overview of various AI tools used in multilingual education and how they contribute to improved learning outcomes. At the same time, it also highlights the limitations and challenges associated with using AI in this field, emphasising the need for responsible, balanced, and culturally sensitive application of these technologies.
