This study investigates the ethical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in secondary education through an experimental method conducted in selected schools in Assam. It examines how AI-assisted learning platforms influence students’ understanding of data privacy, fairness, and digital responsibility. Using a pre-test–post-test control group design, the research compares students exposed to AI-integrated ethics modules with those receiving traditional instruction. The results indicate significant improvement in ethical awareness and responsible digital behaviour among students in the experimental group. The findings underscore the urgent need to incorporate AI ethics education within school curricula in Assam and beyond.Published
