The Indian Knowledge System (IKS) offers comprehensive frameworks for understanding consciousness, spirituality, and human flourishing with significant implications for contemporary higher education. This paper examines the influences of spirituality and consciousness-based practices on undergraduate students in India, situating the analysis within IKS's philosophical and empirical dimensions. As university students navigate academic pressures, identity formation, and mental health challenges, traditional wisdom systems provide valuable resources for holistic development. Drawing upon interdisciplinary research from neuroscience, psychology, and educational studies, this paper synthesizes findings demonstrating that yogic practices, meditation techniques, and spiritual philosophies embedded in IKS contribute positively to students' psychological well-being, academic performance, and personal growth. Empirical studies reveal neurological correlates of meditation, stress-reducing effects of yoga, and positive associations between spiritual intelligence and life satisfaction among Indian undergraduates. The paper critically examines the integration of IKS in higher education curricula following the National Education Policy 2020, analyzing opportunities, challenges, and controversies. The findings suggest that spirituality and consciousness studies, when approached with academic rigor and scientific validation, offer meaningful contributions to student well-being. The paper concludes with recommendations for evidence-based, inclusive implementation of IKS-informed interventions in undergraduate education.Published
