The chapters covers various dimensions of the relationship between consumerism and mental –wellbeing. It further details the negative and positive outcomes of reckless brand ownership on the intrinsic values of personal growth, contentment and mental peace. The chapter concludes that instead of excessive consumption, due to social media exposures and digital marketing, regulated and optimum level of consumption patterns, especially consumption of experiences, may have positive impacts of personal and mental well –being.
