Psychological well-being and mental health have become critical challenges in modern workplaces with rapid technological changes, increasing work demands and ever-evolving work environments. The chapter attempts to analyse the rising significance of mental health and wellbeing in promoting employee productivity, engagement, effectiveness, retention and commitment. It explores the common workplace mental health challenges like stress, anxiety, burnout and their repercussions for individuals as well as organizations. It further discusses the key determinants of workplace mental health, namely, the organizational factors including leadership style, organizational cultures, as well as individual factors consisting of personality traits, coping mechanisms, self-efficacy and emotional intelligence etc. The chapter outlines the multi-level strategies to enhance mental health. It emphasises the need to provide an inclusive, supportive, and non-judgmental environment and systems within organisations for the holistic well-being of employees. Overall, the chapter provides a comprehensive overview suitable for academic, professional, and training contexts.Published
