Academic achievement is a key focus of educational psychology, reflecting the knowledge of the students, skills and competencies gained by means of formal education. It is influenced not only by intelligence and instructional quality but also by key psychological factors. This chapter investigates how various factors like motivation, self-concept, self-efficacy, personality traits, emotional intelligence, stress management, resilience, grit, goal orientation, mental health, and social-environmental influences in shaping the academic performance of the students. Cognitive abilities support learning, while motivational and emotional factors determine persistence, engagement, and coping with challenges. Supportive family and school environments further enhance academic success. A holistic understanding of these determinants is essential for promoting sustained achievement and overall student well-being.Published
