Abstract

The integration of technology and artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed the field of neuropsychology, offering new approaches for understanding brain function and improving the assessment and treatment of cognitive and mental health disorders. AI-driven tools enable researchers and clinicians to analyze large datasets from neuroimaging, behavioural assessments, and physiological monitoring systems with greater accuracy and efficiency. Technologies such as machine learning algorithms, wearable sensors, digital biomarkers, and speech analysis are enhancing early detection of neurological conditions and providing detailed cognitive profiles of patients. In addition, innovations including virtual reality, brain–computer interfaces, and digital therapeutics are expanding opportunities for neuro-rehabilitation and psychological treatment. These tools support personalized interventions and improve access to neuropsychological services through telehealth platforms. Despite these benefits, ethical concerns such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and transparency must be carefully addressed. Overall, the convergence of AI, neuroscience, and digital technology is reshaping modern neuropsychological research and clinical practice.
