As a driving force behind financial inclusion in developing nations, financial technology, or FinTech, has come into its own. FinTech presents new opportunities to reconnect financial institutions with disadvantaged communities in remote areas like Nagaland, where traditional banking infrastructure is still scarce. This study examines the potential and difficulties of FinTech ad option in rural Nagaland using secondary data sources. Government reports, publications from the Reserve Bank of India, databases from NABARD and NPCI, academic papers, and policy documents pertaining to digital finance and rural inclusion were the sources of the information and insights. The study examines how the state's financial services are made more accessible, affordable, and efficient through the use of digital financial platforms such online credit systems, digital payments, and mobile banking. Persistent issues are also highlighted, such as low financial literacy, cybersecurity threats, cultural opposition to technological change, and inadequate digital infrastructure. The goal of the study is to evaluate the overall effect of FinTech on rural financial inclusion through a thorough assessment and data analysis, and to offer recommendations aimed at policymakers to improve digital finance ecosystems in Nagaland. The results should advance our knowledge of how FinTech might support equitable development and economic empowerment in rural areas.Published
