SUSTAINABLE LEADERSHIP IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AS A TRANSFORMATIVE FORCE IN BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC FLEXIBILITY

Abstract

In today’s global economy, businesses significantly shape economic growth, yet they remain vulnerable to disruptions arising from technological shifts, environmental concerns, social change, and political instability. Leadership rooted in sustainability has the potential to stabilize these systems and promote long-term resilience. This study addresses the research question: How can sustainable leadership in public administration act as a transformative driver of business resilience and economic sustainability? Leadership is conceptualized as the connecting thread that integrates management practices, governance, and economic flexibility into a coherent framework for sustainable development. The research employed a quantitative approach using a Likert-scale survey. Primary data were collected from 150 participants, including academics, business professionals, and policymakers, during a two-day online conference. Structured questionnaires were distributed, and responses were analyzed using measures of mean and standard deviation to assess patterns and perceptions. A thematic analysis, in terms of qualitative analysis, also was used.
