The purpose of the present study was to examine the effect of CHD and age on the psychological well-being of adults. In order to carry out the study, a total sample of 360 participants was selected from Meerut city. Out of this total, 180 were CHD patients and the other 180 were normal or non-CHD subjects. Subjects in both groups—CHD and normal—were divided into two age categories: 90 participants were aged 35 to 50 years, and the other 90 participants were aged above 50 years. To assess the psychological well-being of the subjects, the Psychological Well-Being Scale, developed and standardized by Dr. D. S. Sisodia and Ms. Pooja Choudhary, was used. The analysis of the data was done by using an independent samples t-test and a 2×2 factorial design (ANOVA). The findings of the study reveal that both variables—CHD and age—significantly affect the level of psychological well-being of the subjects. The interaction effect of both variables was also significantly able to affect the psychological well-being of the subjects.Published
