Abstract

Emotional intelligence (EI) has been recognized as a crucial factor in determining job satisfaction in various professions. This paper explores the relationship between job satisfaction and EI among police personnel, providing a theoretical framework to understand how these two constructs influence each other. EI, defined as the ability to recognize, understand, and regulate emotions, plays a significant role in fostering interpersonal relationships, improving performance, and enhancing job satisfaction. Job satisfaction serves as a key indicator of an individual's overall well-being and productivity in the workplace. For police officers, who face high-pressure situations daily, EI becomes a critical skill for ensuring effective performance, psychological well-being, and job satisfaction. The paper outlines relevant theories of EI and job satisfaction, and discusses the potential impact of EI on various dimensions of job satisfaction.
