The Indian Knowledge System (IKS) is a rich and diverse repository of knowledge that has been developed over thousands of years. Despite its significance, IKS is often marginalized in modern education systems. This paper proposes a conceptual framework for enhancing IKS effectiveness in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) through curriculum design. By analyzing existing literature on IKS and curriculum development, this research identifies key principles and strategies for integrating IKS into HEI curricula. The proposed framework emphasizes the importance of contextualizing IKS within modern educational contexts, promoting interdisciplinary approaches, and fostering critical thinking and creativity. This study contributes to the ongoing discourse on IKS and education, offering insights for educators, policymakers, and researchers seeking to promote the relevance and effectiveness of IKS in contemporary higher education.Published
