Abstract

This chapter explores the application of Indian Knowledge System (IKS) principles and practices in managing self and organizations. Drawing on ancient Indian texts such as the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, and Yoga Sutras, this study identifies key concepts like dharma, karma, and self-awareness that can inform leadership and organizational practices. The research investigates how IKS principles can enhance self-management, decision-making, and organizational effectiveness, promoting sustainable leadership and well-being. This study contributes to the growing interest in integrating traditional wisdom with modern management practices, offering insights for leaders, managers, and scholars seeking to develop more holistic and sustainable approaches to management. Organizations can establish peaceful and satisfying work environments that transcend materialistic goals by integrating spirituality and traditional wisdom into modern management practices.
