The world's growing population and climate change pose significant challenges to global food security, necessitating a shift towards sustainable agricultural practices. This chapter explores the potential of integrating indigenous knowledge and modern technology to develop a holistic approach to agriculture. We examine the principles of indigenous knowledge, including traditional farming practices, local crop varieties, and ecosystem-based management, and discuss how these can be combined with modern technologies, such as precision agriculture, biotechnology, and digital tools. Our analysis highlights the benefits of this integrated approach, including improved crop yields, enhanced biodiversity, and reduced environmental degradation. We also discuss the challenges and limitations of integrating indigenous knowledge and modern technology, including issues of intellectual property rights, cultural sensitivity, and institutional support. The chapter tries to explain that a holistic approach to agriculture, combining the strengths of indigenous knowledge and modern technology, can contribute to sustainable agricultural development and improved food security. Content of the chapter may have implications for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners seeking to promote sustainable agriculture practices and support the well-being of rural communities.Published
