Abstract

Gratitude is one of the last things murmured on deathbeds and one of the first social graces taught to youngsters. Gratitude has two functions: it opens and closes. Being grateful can bring you many benefits in life. Those who are thankful experience happiness, less anxiety, increased hope, and an awareness of their blessings. According to numerous studies, persons who consistently practice thankfulness report feeling more emotionally well-off than those who do not. Taking a deep breath and stepping back allows your gratitude for all that you must slow down and fill you in full. You have become more conscious of how full your life already is. Make use of your blessings, cherish them, and keep your focus on the broader, more significant areas of your life rather than letting pettiness and little matters divert you. You may go days, weeks, or even months without pausing to acknowledge and be grateful for the things in your life. We become so engrossed in our everyday routines that we neglect to pause and express gratitude for the present moment. It is frequently said that you do not know what you have until it is gone, but taking a moment to list three good things that happened today will just take a few seconds.
