Abstract

A change from traditional teacher-directed instruction to methods that put students at the center of the learning process is represented by student-centered learning and active learning strategies. By emphasizing involvement, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving, these approaches empower students to take charge of their own education. While active learning promotes participation through activities including conversations, projects, case studies, and experiential tasks, student-centered learning concentrates on individual needs, interests, and learning styles. When combined, these strategies produce engaging and diverse learning environments that promote comprehension and long-term memory retention.
