Abstract

Integrating technology into clinical education has become an essential development in modern healthcare training. Traditionally, clinical learning depended largely on direct patient interaction and observational practice. However, advancements in digital tools have transformed the educational landscape by introducing more structured, interactive, and accessible learning methods. This chapter explores how technologies such as simulation-based training, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and electronic health records contribute to improving clinical competence and patient safety. The discussion highlights how these tools bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. It also examines their role in enhancing skill development, decision-making, and standardized learning experiences. By analyzing current applications and global trends, the chapter emphasizes that technology is not merely a supplementary tool but a critical component of modern clinical education. Furthermore, it outlines the benefits, challenges, and future directions of integrating technology into healthcare training, focusing on developing efficient, adaptable, and patient-centered professionals.
