Abstract

Research methodology training has become an essential component of physiotherapy education and professional practice due to the increasing emphasis on evidence-based healthcare. It equips physiotherapists with the knowledge and skills required to critically evaluate scientific literature, conduct research, analyze data, and apply evidence in clinical decision-making. Effective research training enhances analytical thinking, ethical awareness, problem-solving abilities, and scientific communication, thereby improving patient care and professional competence. This chapter highlights the role of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research in rehabilitation sciences. Comprehensive research methodology training ultimately strengthens physiotherapy practice.
