Abstract

A crucial part of physiotherapy education is research methods training, which gives practitioners and students the information and abilities needed to create, assess, and use scientific evidence in therapeutic settings. Understanding research design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation is crucial as physiotherapy takes a more evidence-based approach. Improved patient outcomes, clinical decision-making, and critical thinking are all facilitated by this training. Additionally, it equips physiotherapists to do scholarly study and further the field. This chapter explores the function of research methodology in physiotherapy education, emphasising how crucial it is for developing analytical skills, critical thinking, and clinical judgment. It examines many forms of research pertinent to physiotherapy practice as well as essential elements of research training, such as research design, data collection, statistical analysis, and result interpretation.
