In light of the rigorous nature of their academic and clinical training, healthcare students are a population that is especially susceptible to mental health issues. The frequency, causes, and effects of mental health conditions like stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout among students pursuing careers in medicine and allied health are examined in this essay. Psychological distress is greatly influenced by many factors, such as high performance expectations, sleep deprivation, emotional exposure to patient care, and hard workloads. Additionally, students are frequently discouraged from obtaining timely treatment due to stigma and fear of professional repercussions. In order to increase well-being, the study emphasises the significance of early intervention, institutional responsibility, and the adoption of useful coping mechanisms. In addition to improving students' own health, addressing these issues is crucial for producing future medical professionals who are capable and caring.Published
