The use of diagnostic imaging has been a vital factor in the diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring of patients in the healthcare sector. New technologies have made imaging methods like X-ray, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine which are more efficient, accurate, and safe. Modern imaging systems enable high-resolution images, rapid acquisition, improved clinical results, and reduced radiation exposure. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning have revolutionized diagnostic imaging by improving image interpretation, automating the detection of abnormalities, and streamlining radiology workflows. Oncology, cardiology, neurology, and emergency medicine have all benefited from hybrid imaging systems, molecular imaging, portable devices, and three-dimensional visualization. This chapter reviews the latest developments in the various imaging techniques and how they have enhanced healthcare delivery, diagnostic accuracy, and the future of medical practice.Published
