Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic underscored the importance of preventive healthcare, immunity, mental well-being, and sustainable lifestyles (WHO, 2024). Unani medicine offers a holistic framework based on temperament (Mizaj), humoral balance, and the body’s innate healing power (Tabi’at) (Ansari et al., 2019).This chapter examines key Unani principles, including Asbāb-e-Sittah Zarūriyyah, lifestyle regulation, dietary management, immunity enhancement, mental well-being, and regimenal therapies (Zulkifle et al., 2020). It also highlights the role of Unani medicine in addressing post-pandemic lifestyle and mental health challenges through individualized preventive approaches (Ahmad et al., 2021), while considering its contribution to Sustainable Development Goal 3 (WHO, 2022).
