Abstract

Indian Knowledge Tradition and Buddhist Education is a rich and varied intellectual tradition that laid the groundwork for complex educational systems. Buddhist philosophy is an epitome thought of Gautama Buddha that includes people of all castes together. Within this landscape, two prominent models, the Gurukul and the Buddhist education systems, emerged as foundational pillars of learning. The Gurukul system, deeply rooted in the Vedic period, represented a traditional model of personalised, residential education. Buddha philosophy is a Nastika philosophy because against of Brambha and God. The following paper discussed how the Indian knowledge tradition and Buddhist education system. For this purpose, the key aspects of Buddhist education, which are highlighted in these studies, are ancient Buddhist universities; the education system of Buddhism is very important which highlights every aspect of the education system. Gautama Buddha has mentioned some important concepts in Buddhist philosophy which is, - Karma, rebirth, soul concept, Buddhist education system, character development, universal principles and reflective teaching methods.
