Abstract

The vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 represents India's commitment to achieving developed nation status by integrating economic prosperity with social equity, environmental sustainability, and technological innovation. This chapter examines three interdependent pillars underpinning this national transformation: Digital India, Green Growth, and Inclusive Governance. It discusses how Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), artificial intelligence, digital inclusion, and e-governance are reshaping public service delivery, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, and human development. The chapter further explores green growth strategies through renewable energy expansion, green hydrogen, circular economy practices, climate-smart agriculture, sustainable urbanization, and green finance, emphasizing their role in fostering climate resilience and sustainable economic development. In addition, it analyses the significance of inclusive governance through institutional reforms, decentralization, participatory policymaking, transparency, and citizen-centric administration. The chapter also identifies key challenges, including digital inequality, climate vulnerability, governance capacity, skill gaps, and regional disparities, which may impede India's developmental aspirations. Finally, it proposes a strategic roadmap highlighting technological innovation, human capital development, environmental stewardship, collaborative governance, and evidence-based policymaking to realize the vision of a resilient, inclusive, sustainable, and globally competitive Viksit Bharat by 2047.
