India's goal of $30 trillion by Year 2047 has shifted from just a campaign rhetoric to policy. India's current economic base is around $4 trillion, but policymakers and institutions see demographic, manufacturing, technological, entrepreneurial ecosystem and green-energy factors as the foundation for continued rapid development. It separates progress from desire using the NITI Aayog's Viksit Bharat@2047 framework, and NSO, IMF, and World Bank statistics. Together with the bullish argument, the chapter examines the structural advantages and also the gap between ambition and the arithmetic of attaining the target. In this chapter, the policy framework supporting the vision is also given. It finishes with a three-phases policy path to 2047, suggesting that $30 trillion is better understood as a test of institutional performance, not just a projection.Published
