Community mental health is a vital approach to enhancing psychological well-being and improving life quality across varied populations. Unlike traditional psychiatric care models, it focuses on prevention, early intervention, rehabilitation, social inclusion, and providing accessible mental health services within communities. The rising incidence of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, suicide, and stress-related disorders underscores the critical need for thorough community-based mental health programs. Psychological well-being involves not only the absence of mental illness but also positive emotional health, resilience, meaningful relationships, autonomy, and personal growth. Strengthening mental health outcomes requires collaboration among community members, families, educational institutions, healthcare providers, policymakers, and NGOs. Advances in technology, such as digital mental health tools and artificial intelligence, have increased access to support but also bring ethical and regulatory challenges. This chapter examines community mental health through psychological, sociocultural, developmental, and public health lenses. It addresses factors influencing psychological well-being, the impact of community interventions, challenges in mental health service delivery, and evidence-based strategies to improve mental health individually and socially. The chapter concludes that sustainable mental healthcare demands coordinated efforts among healthcare systems, communities, governments, and international bodies to provide equitable, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based services for all.Published
