Infertility is not only a medical condition but also a deeply emotional experience that can affect an individual’s mental health, relationships, and overall quality of life. Many people experiencing infertility face feelings of grief, anxiety, depression, stress, guilt, and social stigma, particularly in cultures where parenthood is highly valued. Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART), such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), offer hope to individuals and couples seeking to conceive. However, the treatment process can also bring emotional uncertainty, financial strain, repeated disappointments, and psychological distress. This paper explores the psychological impact of infertility and the emotional experiences associated with ART. It also highlights the importance of timely psychological support, counselling, stress management, and compassionate healthcare throughout the fertility journey. Integrating mental health care into fertility treatment can improve emotional well-being, strengthen coping abilities, and enhance the overall treatment experience for individuals and couples navigating infertility.Published
