Abstract

The classroom, assessment, research, student assistance, and academic practice are all being impacted by artificial intelligence (AI), which is making its way into higher education. It goes beyond simply creating content or automating tedious chores. Artificial intelligence may help teachers create materials, recreate real-world situations, enhance accessibility, personalize learning, offer immediate feedback, and assist students in solving challenging challenges. However, irresponsible usage can lead to reliance, weaken independent thought, reinforce prejudice, jeopardize privacy, and create new difficulties for academic integrity. Therefore, the educational value of AI lies not only in its technological capabilities but also in the justification for its adoption and the prudent use of it. From a human standpoint, we address how AI could alter education in this chapter. Individualized instruction, intelligent tutoring, generative AI, evaluation, feedback, inclusiveness, teacher responsibilities, academic integrity, AI literacy, ethics, privacy, and professional education are all covered. The need of preserving meaningful human connection and making sure that technology enhances rather than replaces learning are given special focus. Teachers will continue to be leaders in judgment, values, relationships, creativity, and professional growth in the future of higher education, which most likely depends on the cooperation of human knowledge and intelligent technology. According to this approach, technological advancements are only significant when they enhance the goal and capabilities of education.
