Technology is dramatically changing higher education through digitalization, automation andgenerative artificial intelligence (AI). In this context, disciplinary knowledge remains important but should be accompanied by creativity, critical thinking, adaptability and digital competence. This chapter explores how these abilities can be taught in an integrated way via human-centred AI learning approach in higher education. Creativity allows students to generate and adapt possibilities; critical thinking allows students to evaluate evidence, assumptions and AI generated output; and digital competence allows purposeful, safe and ethical use of technology. Using contemporary international frameworks and policy literature on the topic, this chapter suggests an integrated model of how disciplinary knowledge, creative production, critical evaluation, AI literacy and ethical responsibility should be linked. This chapter also discusses implications for pedagogy, assessment, faculty development, institutional governance, equity and professional education, with examples relevant to health sciences. Specifically, AI should be positioned as a partner and tool for learning but not as a replacement for student judgement. Future-ready universities should therefore rethink learning experience so that students demonstrate reasoning, reflection, evidence application and responsible decision making, along with technological proficiency.Published
