NEP 2020 refers to the National Education Policy 2020, a policy document released by the Government of India in July 2020. This policy aims to reform India's education system by organizing comprehensive education, and training, promoting research and innovation. This policy recognizes the important role and integration of technology in the learning process. The policy acknowledges the vital role of libraries in fostering a culture of reading and lifelong learning. This emphasizes the need to strengthen schools and public libraries by equipping them with national educational resources, including books, digital resources, and trained librarians. The National Education Policy 2020 is the first policy of the twenty-first century to achieve many milestones in the development of our country. This article aims to analyze the national education policy for 2020 and the role of libraries and information systems. It emphasizes that libraries with quality collections of digital resources play an important role in providing quality education. This policy covers all levels of education from primary to secondary school, undergraduate and postgraduate courses, research, and long-term education. This study will discuss the evolving state of libraries in the context of the National Education Policy 2020. It will also address key issues and challenges in the education system and suggest ways to address these issues.Published
