IMPACT OF NEP 2020 ON MATHEMATICS

The present article concerns with the embracing of Innovative Pedagogy and Multidisciplinary Approach in Mathematics in the Preview of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The present global scenario in context with Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 4 to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education to all has resulted in the need of Innovative pedagogy. NEP in general aims at achieving the doubled Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) as well as improving the quality education in Higher education Mathematics has been focussed as a pure science to develop logical reasoning and abstract thinking. But it has been highlighted as a fearful and boring subject with a large number of drop outs due to conventional ways of teaching learning processes. The study focusses on the Multidisciplinary approach together with Innovative Pedagogy under NEP 2020 and its role in trying to construct an inclusive and engaging environment to have a holistic development of learners, especially in Mathematics by including such environment and also coding at school level.Published
