Globalization has become a defining feature of the 21st century, characterized by increased interconnectedness of economies, cultures, and politics across national boundaries. This paper examines the complex relationship between globalization and national sovereignty, focusing on how the forces of economic integration, technological advancements, and transnational institutions have challenged traditional notions of state control and autonomy. While globalization has facilitated economic growth and cultural exchange, it has also led to concerns about the erosion of national sovereignty, as states face pressures from international corporations, global markets, and supranational organizations. The paper explores the tension between the benefits of globalization—such as improved access to resources and innovation—and the potential loss of state power to govern effectively. Furthermore, it addresses how governments have responded to these challenges by either embracing or resisting global integration. The study concludes by proposing strategies for balancing global interconnectedness with the preservation of national sovereignty in an increasingly interdependent world.Published
