Abstract

This review article delves into how artificial intelligence (AI) affects student learning, focusing on various aspects including its efficient use, and future prospects. A comprehensive search of various databases—such as Google Scholar, Sage Journals, Scopus, and JSTOR—was conducted to find studies published between 2019 and 2024. The review examines AI's role in education, discussing its benefits, obstacles, and identifying gaps for further exploration, especially regarding its effective application and potential to reshape learning. While AI shows great promise in enhancing educational outcomes, more research is needed to better understand its capabilities and constraints. There is a need to address issues like data privacy, bias, and the potential loss of students’ intrinsic motivation (Moybeka et al., 2023). The study highlights that AI can significantly improve personalized learning experiences and boost academic performance. Therefore, it concludes that a balanced approach is vital to harness AI’s advantages while minimizing associated risks.
