Abstract

Motivation plays a crucial role in educational outcomes. Psychological theories such as Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and Deci and Ryan's self-determination theory explain how intrinsic motivation, driven by autonomy, competence, and relatedness, leads to better academic performance. The study highlights the importance of fostering a supportive and motivating environment in schools to help students engage more deeply with their learning.
