Abstract

The present world is embedded with the technology involvement in each and every sector of life. So, we can’t deny this fact that technology is now an important part and parcel of human life, and thus it is also infused in the education sector. The quality of education that learners receive is greatly influenced by teacher education. The need for highly qualified and productive teachers is becoming more and more apparent as the educational landscape changes. It is the responsibility of teachers to assist pupils in developing critical and constructive thinking skills, as well as comprehensive conceptual understandings from the beginning. The authors also explored the need and importance of the professional development for the integration of technology in the teaching learning process. The present paper tries to explore the models for integrating technology for the professional development of the teachers so that we will have the optimum engagement of learning in the teaching learning process.
